He left the program in WAY better shape than he found it. Was he a little closed off and eccentric? Yes, for sure. But, he gave us multiple 10 win seasons, salvaged the program from the Crowton debacle, and had success despite the roadblocks of the administration, the honor code, and a thankless fan base. He was the best guy for the job at the time (other than KWhitt who realized U of U was a much better decision in terms of salary, opportunity and not having to deal with recruiting hassles, ie honor code). So, boo if you must. Your have that right. Just know that if you do, you're really not a great BYU fan, and pretty ignorant as well.
