there was a game on the road in Virginia where we lost by 3 and in the first...
...half (iirc) had a drive stall at the 32-33 yd line of UVa and punted it instead of kicking a FG or going for it. Punt went into the endzone for a touchback and the first play from the 20 the Cavs completed a pass for 12 or so yards to basically negate the punt.
I wonder what the analytics are for the pct of punts from inside the opponents 40 that end up being a wasted effort cuz they go into the endzone. I'll bet it's pretty high.
