My kids have been blessed with some fantastic coaches in flag football, baseball, basketball, soccer, swimming, water polo, etc. We've also had a few coaches that were, frankly, terrible. It really stinks watching your kids lose every single game due to poor coaching. They are usually begging for volunteers to be head coaches and assistant coaches, but due to my work schedule, I can't reliably be there for every practice and game. Out of my three sons, I've only been able to help coach football for one season, and we fortunately had a fantastic season and had a lot of fun. IMHO, youth football, baseball, and basketball can be particularly rough if the coaching is bad.
