Yes-this isn't a treasure trove of data, it's just one point, and there are other mitigating circumstances that might be playing a role here (ie Orgeron's firing), but it's at least an interesting anecdote.

Several years back I pulled injury data for all college football teams (came from a gambling site that listed all injuries by team by game).  I did a series of different analyses with it and basically came up with an answer that said that BYU's level of injured players was not statistically different from teams either in the P5 or G5.

When I have some free time I'll go pull the data again but for multiple years and take a more detailed look at it.
