Millennials are 25-40 and in prime home buying years. Many bought later than
previous generations.
Boomers are living longer than previous generations and not vacating homes.
Because of 2008 and Millenials delaying home buying, builders have been gun shy for almost a decade.
Migration is absolutely part of it. Tons of stats supporting large migration to FL, TX, UT, and many smaller states.
Historically low interest rates play into it as well.
Other economic factors could slow things down, but the imbalanced supply and demand could take a couple years to iron out.
