felt like a game where Oregon played their best game possible and tOSU played one of their poorer games of the year. Head to head matters and they got a lot of mileage out of that one game. But, in the context of all of their other games (Fresno st, Washington, Stanford, etc) it seemed fairly obvious that if Oregon were to play a top 25 team again that they would likely lose—and that’s what is happening.

And, this outcome is the best possible outcome for tonight to ensure Utah can’t back their way into a Rose Bowl. Sure they still get there by winning their conference, but they can’t get there via losses. But, Utah is also vulnerable still and hopefully Oregon takes this loss seriously, gets by OSU next week and is ready to play and beat Utah on a neutral field in the CCG.
