In my opinion, this is the only scenario that I feel the committee would be justified keeping an undefeated Cincy out:
1. Georgia beats Georgia Tech.
2. Alabama beats Auburn and Georgia.
3. The winner of Ohio State/Michigan goes on to win the Big Ten Championship Game.
4. Oklahoma State beats Oklahoma and then wins the Big XII Championship Game.
I know the Committee can and maybe will do some crazy mental gymnastics to keep Cincy out. But there would be fairly universal criticism if they were leapfrogged by Notre Dame. Or if they weren’t able to pass up a two-loss Alabama, Ohio State, or Michigan. Or if a two-loss team like Iowa or Baylor passed them up from behind.
I think the committee would ultimately keep them in the top four, internally justifying it because the Bearcats are a future Big XII member.
