Looking at the records of the Pac 12 schools, they have 6 who are bowl eligible and one of either USC (4-6) and Cal (4-6) who can still qualify. (USC and Cal play on December 4th in Berkeley) Cal plays at UCLA this week and of course USC is home against BYU. The Pac 12 has 7 Bowl tie ins plus they are scheduled to play in an additional ESPN affiliated bowl. That means they will not be able to supply one and possibly 2 bowl games giving BYU at least one other possibility besides the Independence Bowl. Actually I would prefer playing a likely 13-0 UTSA in the Independence Bowl over a 5 or 6 loss P5 school. A NY 6 is of course still the most desirable.
