I did tech support for Vivint for a summer. Here's the thing about company
culture, it transcends departments. You may think you're isolated in an adjacent org like HR, Finance, or IT, but leadership sets the tone from the top down across the company.

I eventually quit when it became apparent that a customer's home was broken into, their alarm system never phoned home to monitoring, checking the logs revealed the installer never tested the system after installation like they're required to do and it had never successfully phoned home during the 2+ years of owning the system. Management was telling me to charge this customer the $70+ fee to have a technician come out and to deny any claims that the system was not working properly. I refused, walked out the door and never came back.
