I get it, what he said on Twitter last night and his reaction to an awesome win in the locker room was a gut punch to any BYU fan. I was mad when I first saw his twitter post and the locker room celebration video.

But then I sat back and thought for a minute that he is still just a kid. He's young. And he's frustrated with his role on the team. I've been there too.

He took a big gamble coming to BYU through the transfer portal. Utah has to feel like a big shock to him. And his freshmen year he was the go to guy on San Jose State. Here, BYU has a lot of good players. His confidence looks broken right now. Hopefully coaches can help that, but as fans we can also help that confidence get back. Support him when he's on the court or show him some love on social media that the fans are there for him.

If we want to continue to have a good transfer system, we need guys like him to stay and thrive. He's got the size we need for a guard. He just needs that confidence when on offense and his playing time will increase dramatically as we still haven't been able to find much offense out of Barcello and Lucas this year.

Really hoping the players and coaches are there to support him this week, he's got to be fighting some internal battles. And even if his basketball career does not pan out, staying at BYU to get that kind of education from one of the best Universities in the country will tremendously help him in his future.
