During the UVA game I became so angry and frustrated during the second quarter that I turned the tv off and made myself do something else around the house b/c I hate myself when I allow a game result to affect me so completely. (I yelled and chucked the remote very hard into the couch and my wife and kids looked at me like I was a crazy person).
An hour or so later, I received a text that said, "Are you watching this!!!!!" I knew it was obviously in reference to the game. I turned it back on and BYU was crushing it. I realized then that it was because of me. I had needed to turn the tv off to create a swing in momentum. You're welcome.
Then during the second half of the USC game, I felt the same frustration and anger mounting again. However, I told myself to keep the faith, that they had turned it around before. Then after USC took the lead, I realized it was my fault. I had not yet turned the tv off to create a swing in momentum. So, I am happy to report that I turned the tv off, went to the bathroom to give it a minute, then turned it back on. BYU promptly drove down the field and took the lead back.
So I wanted to apologize for not doing this sooner. I know I caused many of you undue stress. I will do better in the future. Go Cougs!
