Most of the school districts (if not all) have cut tackle football at the middle school/jr. high level in the Chicagoland area due to a lack of participants. Some only have flag football now and one of my son's teams had to forfeit a few games due to lack of kids that week. Cali seems way down at 10,000 fewer players, but I wonder how that compares to the rest of the country. Other than a few places like TX or FL, I would guess the trend is similar. Sucks for the overall future of the best sport ever....
