2000 tried to do the same behind my house on the field there. It was marginally successful, people in town came to enjoy it, but it was raw ice, couldn't surface it.

I don't think anyone does that these days.

Tubing, depends on the snow, a couple good places near Beaver, the lodge right there at the corner as you go up past Beaver has nice rooms, and usually can help plan those kind of activities.
