Watching Rick Beato break down songs is therapy. Not exaggerating.
He's personable, immensely talented, and he's kind of a bit like Mark Pope in that he is just infectiously enthusiastic about music, musicians, and when they simply nail a great song.

When he splits up tracks it's like watching the enchantments by which magic happens. Songs and bands that I have loved for years are suddenly fresh and even better than I had ever thought.

It's like great musicians literally turn calculus into art. I don't understand the calculus, as a practicing musician let's say I dropped out in Pre-K.

But I know it's calculus because he uses the language and even though I don't know what it means, I know what it means when he's explaining it. He's masterful at providing context for music fans of any level of expertise.

I think one of the things that's almost most amazing to me is how good so many of these vocalists really are when you turn off all of the instrumental tracks.

Steve Perry, phenomenal voice with instrumentals. Then you take the instrumentals away and at least for a moment in time you would rather hear just the acapella.

Brad Delp from Boston. Always thought he had a good voice until I watched Steve Beato break down More than a Feeling. Delp going from full voice to falsetto back to full voice at those high notes is insane.

The songs just show up in my feed so I listen to them. And I'm not exaggerating that I listened to these two in the last two days.

I literally will put on one of his videos when I just want an escape and I leave in a better mood. If that's not therapy, than therapy needs to up its game.
