I didn't read any attack on his pride. I read a question about where he lives.
That was followed up by an explanation that people who live in Utah suffer from the dregs of Ute society on a far more regular and routine basis and therefore the schadenfreude is stronger for Utah residents. This is not a condemnation of the university nor the majority of their students or alumni. Everybody has dregs. Their dregs tend to be very outspoken.

Perhaps he missed when Utah literally found themselves as the last fat girl at the bar after Colorado had already contracted to move to the Pac-12, the Pac-12 got left at the altar by Texas, Oklahoma, and probably Texas Tech and they were forced to find another team to at least equal 12 since they blew their chance at becoming the Pac-14.

Utah got selected literally because the Pac-12 was desperate and religiously bigoted. Utah had no resume whatsoever that merited the inclusion outside of some kind of a package deal.

They got lucky. They got lucky the Pac-12 got stiffed, and took the last fat girl at the bar.

And then they acted like they were Miss Universe...It was bumper stickers and billboards and non-stop radio chatter...

BYU fans could spout "Pac12 South champs" until the the sun fizzles and never approach the vitriolic spite that Utah demonstrated. For years.

I generally feel no need to go trolling any other fan base, but I can't say I'm personally in a situation where I have been bombarded by stereotypical Utes. I suspect I would be a little more on the offense in regards to the Utes if I lived in Utah.

"Don't start none, won't be none." Their words.

They've been starting a lot since their Vegas wedding with the Pac-12. But what goes around comes around.
