because BYU will have less losses. Same rationale as to why Michigan State isn't ranked higher than Michigan even after beating them. Also, if Utah wins the P12 championship game, are they actually guaranteed the Rose? I don't know if they would be if it is by CFP committee invite. They would then have the same number losses as Oregon, and would need to jump over 6 spots for beating an Oregon team for a 2nd time (which doesn't make much sense) thus leap frogging BYU who has a better record and has beaten Utah this year. I am not sure how the whole CFP committee assigning games works; I don't think it works the same as previous years with automatic bowl tie-ins to NY6 bowls.

Either way, I will be going to the bowl game; if it is in Shreveport, that is only a 3 hour drive, if a NY6 then I'll be flying.
