Naturally, living in Hawaii as a BYU-Hawaii faculty member for many years, I was able to go to those games! The Cougars seemed unprepared for the onslaught that occurred that day! We were absolutely humiliated! But the 1984 victory was unforgettable as Kyle Morrell saved our unbeaten record against a good Rainbow team! As for Kalani, we always thought it was his dream job! No one is irreplaceable! There is, however, a learning curve!
After a rocky start, we are starting to see results. The Big 8 will be a big test!
