I would first call your Insurance agent and start running some scenarios. Some
carriers will take the new youthful driver and spread the new rate across all your vehicles. Some will allow you to make the youthful driver primary on one specific car. If the second approach is used, then you can choose a hypothetical car and start comparing rates. Some cars cost a lot more than others to insure for teenage drivers.

We have 5 cars and 4 drivers right now. Two of the drivers are teenagers. One is assigned to a 2000 Honda Accord and the other to a 2006 Chevy Equinox. Both cars aren't worth a lot of money but they seem to be somewhat affordable from an insurance perspective.

If I was purchasing another car today for a teenager to drive, it would probably be another early 2000's Honda. They are easy to maintain and really reliable.
