The biggest thing that the Pac-12 would offer is geography
It's going to be weird seeing BYU face very few teams from the West going forward. If BYU continues to play either Utah, Utah State, or Boise State semi-regularly, then there isn't going to be much scheduling room on any given year to play other Pac-12 teams.
