The whole season felt a bit rushed and the finale put that in overdrive. It felt like a lot of buildup to a meh "ending."
Lots of loose threads still. I guess we are supposed to resolve those ourselves and write our own ending.
- And what of the protomelecule? Barely played a role in this last season. Lots of questions
- What became of Filip (yeah, he got off the Pella before daddy was done in)?
- I still think there are lots of questions about the rings that could have been explored more
- What's up on Laconia?
What I liked about the series:
- It felt like a realistic future; believable technology (other than the protomolecule, but, who knows?), sub-light travel within our solar system and still lots of politics and fighting for "control"
- Generally good character development. I felt like I knew who the main characters really were and what made them tick
- Cohesive story line that in the early seasons had time to play out. As mentioned, this last season felt rushed
Nice final trick, Mr. Holden.
Still, I like science fiction/space stories and, overall, this was a good one.
