I think what you laid out is pretty one dimensional compared to Malone and
McCullogh. Joe had a journalist that in a way corroborated Malone's and McCullogh's view on the FDA and Big Pharma.
John Abramson came on to talk about all the shenanigans big pharma does. For example, Pfizer's anti-inflammatory, Bextra, killed 60k people approximately--supposedly this drug was no more effective than cheap over-the-country anti-inflammatories. Pfizer drummed up some BS report about Asprin being bad for your stomach that enabled them to market a newer proprietary drug, the end result in massive deaths.
BTW this Abramson guy wasn't going for any of Joe's anti-vax stuff, it is an interesting listen.
Regarding Malone and McCullough, sure they have an axe to grind. Since I know little on the subject I am happy to listen to them as Sanjay. Celebrity is it's own reward, so you're right these guys have their own incentive. I am sure these guys are more than just Quacks, still might be peddling fear porn though.
