A few stats from the USF game...

Offensive Rating = 101.5; Defensive Rating = 98.7

(I added the opponents stats on the bottom line now)

What a grind it out game! Hard to overcome the FT disparity in the 1st half but they did and it was fun to watch. It's nice that USF's eFG% was so low, 34.6%. A combination of BYU's good defense and USF not making shots.

Barcello is just amazing! He just keeps going and going. His stamina is incredible! I really like how he played the game. Was kind of quiet at the beginning of the 2nd half but he was aggressive from the get go. His shooting with Shabazz all over him was beautiful. Very efficient game with 1.01 pts/poss and a nice usage rate.

I like what Knell is giving us. He had a very efficient game and I thought he played pretty good defense. I'm surprised he was a -5 overall.

This is a game where George needs to be guarding Bouyea. He is quick enough and bigger than him such that it will cause Bouyea issues. That's what we saw. George being +11 pops out in the stats.

Lohner is fun to watch. USF had 10 offensive rebounds in the 1st half and only 4 in the 2nd half. I attribute that to Lohner being on the bench in foul trouble for most of the 1st half. It seems that Lohner decided he should be more aggressive on offense as of last game. We need that more from him.

This game will look nice on the resume in March. We need USF to keep winning. They're a good experience heavy team.

Legend:
Pts/Poss - How many points does a player score when he's the last one to touch the ball before the other team takes possession.
eFG% - This statistic adjusts for the fact that a 3-point field goal is worth one more point than a 2-point field goal. For example, suppose Player A goes 4 for 10 with 2 threes, while Player B goes 5 for 10 with 0 threes. Each player would have 10 points from field goals, and thus would have the same effective field goal percentage (50%). This is a much better shooting stat than normal 2 point FG% and 3 point FG%.
Usage rate is an estimate of the percentage of team plays used by a player while he was on the floor. Did the possession end with the player being the last one to touch the ball before the other team got possession of it? More or less, how much of a ball hog is the player. A player with a high Pts/Poss and a high Usage rate is a really good thing. Low Pts/Poss and a high Usage rate is a really bad thing or Carmelo Anthony.
TS% - True shooting percentage is a measure of shooting efficiency that takes into account field goals, 3-point field goals, and free throws.
TRB% - Total rebound percentage is an estimate of the percentage of available rebounds a player grabbed while he was on the floor.
Game Score was created by John Hollinger to give a rough measure of a player's productivity for a single game. It takes into account points, field goal attempts, field goal makes, free throw makes, free throw attempts, offensive rebounds, defensive rebounds, steals, assists, blocks, fouls and turnovers. Missed field goals, missed free throws, personal fouls and turnovers are all negative. Hollinger developed it for the NBA where 40 is an outstanding performance and 10 is an average performance.
+/- - How much did the player contribute to increasing or decreasing the score when they're on the floor. Player A comes in and the margin of the score is 10. Player A leaves the floor 3 mins later and the margin has decreased to 8. His +/- for that 3 mins is -2.
