The program is attractive to him because of what its about, his connections and the things that make BYU unique including the fans!

It really makes me wish we had a defensive identity, or some semblance of a defensive philosophy that will also attract players to the program even more and that will take players and put them in the league. For years it seems we've played a defense that is rather vanilla, we don't force the action, and is more dependent on the offense to find ways to stop themselves vs a defense built around actually stopping you or forcing the O to be uncomfortable.

Those who are going to argue this will point to the KVNs, Warners, Michael Davis, Sorensen, etc. - but these were all players that came out of Bronco's defense that was known for its aggressive nature, forcing the action, and we also had some great athletes come into that system and thrive. (I know Bronco's D at Virginia sucked...but that's not what I'm talking about) I also understand coaches will often run the system based on the talent they have, or we did what we had to do based on injuries/depth, etc. I get it.

I just wish we could give even more reasons for a Cormani type of recruit to come and that being the primary reason because everything else IMO is window dressing.
