There really isn’t any correlation to 3pt% defense to good defensive teams. Sure there will be some, but also there will be examples on the other side of the spectrum. For instance UNC Asheville is the 245th best defense and yet are 8th in 3pt%. You look over the past 10 years and the top 10 in 3pt% for defense is always different because of how random it is, and how small of a sample size the college season is
