RE: Dude looks 40 y.o.
So did the most important yet underrated BYU player of all time - Lakei.

Also to the other straw argument about his number of carrier, he is a fullback and was used for blocking and passpro. Someone who gets offered and is a 4 year starter at Stanford would easily contribute at BYU. We would gladly take any of them.

Bronco was a good coach who got the most out of players, he has some of the best recruits of all time (KVN, Warner, etc) but also loved the ruddy, undersized, hard working leaders, who lacked head to head measurables versus some of the entitled athletes with poor attitudes he eschewed. Bronco's like many other coaches had an inability to connect and transform some of those players. To his credit and as a huge Hemuli apologist, he and Dr. Anae, probably did not offer Houston due to scheme more than anything. There are too many other examples that have been that with a little more confidence and humility would have lead to keeping legacy stars at BYU (T. Reilly, Covey, Jake Murphy, etc.)
