He was a terrific high school QB...

...and IMO a vastly underrated college QB. Playing with a broken back really limited him, and fans have a distorted perception of his abilities.

True, he never had the strongest arm, but it wasn't nearly as bad as fans remember when the poor kid couldn't muster any torque.
