The dealership model is a textbook example of capitalism being distorted
Everybody agrees that it sucks and serves nobody’s interests other than the dealerships themselves, but dealerships are so politically connected that they are able to keep the model intact as the only viable way people can buy new cars.

More OEM to dealer "cease & desist" critiques. I think the pandemic has strained the OE's patience for the dealer model.
