Some food for thought:

https://www.ncaa.com/rankings/basketball-men/d1/ncaa-mens-basketball-net-rankings

The top four teams are all in the Top 36 for Net rankings:

  1. Gonzaga ranked #2 (4-2 Q1; 2-0 Q2; no Q3/Q4 losses)
  2. BYU ranked #27 (2-1 Q1; 6-3 Q2; no Q3/Q4 losses)
  3. St Mary's ranked #35 (1-4 Q1; 3-0 Q2; no Q3/Q4 losses)
  4. San Francisco ranked #36 (2-3 Q1; 2-1 Q2; no Q3/Q4 losses)

This speaks to the talent at the top of the league this year. The teams are losing to the teams that they are supposed to and beating the teams they are supposed to. As long as the Top 4 do not have any bad losses (i.e., no Q3/Q4) as they have done, and continue to lose to only each other, I think it is a very realistic possibility. The teams are good. I was pretty impressed with USF last night, particularly in the first half, against Gonzaga.
