I am a dad joke
It's an awful, deceptive pitch, imo.
"We want our employees to have a great work/life balance so you have unlimited PTO!"
Means:
"We want our bottom line to not be affected by paying out PTO, and people statistically take less PTO with unlimited because it's harder to track."

We had that policy once and it sucked. Nobody dared take time off.

Old job "unlimited" meant like 4-5, current job "unlimited" means probably 2-3

Unlimited sucks, and every company that i know that does it means "please use sparingly"

And it means, we don’t want to accrue for it or pay it out when people leave

I'm sure I'd use fewer days if they were "unlimited."

I get 25 days per year and usually use around 20-22.

Just shy of 6 weeks. Getting better about taking more and more of it by using days randomly.
