The outcome in college games depends on defense too and both teams get the ball

We can’t pretend like defense has no part in this. Let’s say both teams get the ball. Chiefs score. Buffalo scores. Then Buffalo stops them and then scores. Had the exact same chance to win the second time around but because they both had the ball in OT it’s now more fair?
