I was banned from drinking carbonated sodas throughout high school for track/XC
I drank a ton of Country-Time Lemonade instead and I still have difficulties trying to drinking a full can of carbonated soda.

It can cause gas which then intern makes it more difficult to breathe, but The carbonation itself may or may not
