RE: List your top 3 and bottom 3 CFB teams and why.
Top 3
1. BYU - First alma matter and a team that my family has followed for years.

2. K-State - grew up in Kansas and love football more than basketball. Bill Snyder was a fantastic coach. He had an ability to take a transfer or JUCO player and make them phenomenal. Additionally, his special teams were even exciting. He always seemed to have a kick returner capable of taking it to the house on any kick.

3. Marshall - this one was hard. I don't know that I have a strong 3rd at the top. 3 is a huge distance from the other two. I placed Marshall. I do not really follow them, but I love hearing the team is succeeding after the tragedy it overcame. 1970 was a bad year to fly on an airplane as a football team. First in October 1970, a plane carrying half of the Wichita State football team crashed killing 30 players and coaches. Wichita State never recovered and never play another football game. The institution still does not have a football program. A month later, in November 1970, a plane carrying half of Marshall's football team also crashed killing 37 players and coaches. Unlike Wichita State, Marshall moved forward, formed a new team, hired new coaches, and continued to compete in the next season. Something about the story makes me root for them a little.

Bottom 3

Alabama - There is no way that Alabama has not been paying players since the beginning of time and getting away with it. They always receive special considerations when rankings or playoffs come around. No team should ever be in a four team playoff if they do not win their conference. Simply put, if you are not the best in your conference then you are not the best in the country. They never play in a location where the temperature is under 60 and seldom play in actual weather. They have a stupid amount of money, and carry way too much clout.

Utah - I attend the game where the fans threw beer and trash on players families and saw it with my own eyes. It was really an unsafe environment. I observed a group of Ute fans surround a teen BYU fan in the concourse, hurl insults at him, threaten him, and refuse to permit him to return to his seats until adult BYU fans intervened. Vocal Ute fans denigrate the religious aspects of BYU and mock the religion itself. So the Utes make my bottom 3.

Ohio State - So Ohio State hasn't always gotten away with paying players, but they have clearly been doing it. So much of the storied tradition of this and similar programs was built on the backs of clear NCAA violations with NCAA officials looking the other way and providing just an occasional slap on the wrist. Ohio State makes the list because when they were caught they whined and cried about the repercussions. I hope they lose every game unless they are playing Alabama and Utah.
