averaged 15.7 points on 7.7 field goal attempts per game. He led the league in offensive efficiency for crying out loud.
I get that Gobert will never be a 20+ PPG scorer. But guess what, 25 guys did that this season. 20pt scorers are a dime a dozen. In the 35 games that Donovan has missed over the past 2 seasons, both Clarkson and Bogey averaged 20+. The points were pretty much replaced.
Gobert is a generational defender, the league's best rebounder and an average offensive player at his position. That is much harder to replace than an average efficiency 25ppg scorer.
