I watched the Clint Eastwood movie Escape from Alcatraz last night. It had all of the prison movie cliches
- the one guy that can get you any contraband that you want in exchange for food or smokes
- the old-timer that has a pet animal that the guards just overlook because the guy has been there forever
- the petty and vindictive warden
- an inmate that wants to rape other inmates but gets his comeuppance
- inmates gaming the prison jobs
- getting put into “the hole”
