From a financial perspective? Would you just start saving like a crazy person and beef up the emergency fund? Start looking for a more secure job? Or just hope for some severance

Open a HELOC. Hopefully you won’t need to use it but it’s an emergency stash

Yes, but also realize that the bank can close your HELOC at any time

You can start one with no fees. There are variable and fixed rates. On a fixed
