I'm not sure if describe the U of U finding a cheap, effective cancer cure as a 'loss'
That should be a win for everyone, regardless of alumni status and rooting interests.
If you're honestly someone who would react to Utah announcing a cure for cancer by saying "oh man, this sucks. I hate that this happened and makes Utah look good. Would rather there not be a cure" you need to reconsider how much weight you're giving the rivalry in your life
