My wife was told to get one several years back. Went to the hospital and the
co-pay was $2,700. We walked out.
Called around and got it for about $550 without insurance somewhere else. The doctor spent about 10 seconds looking at it. I think he was irritated we didn’t use the hospital of which apparently he was an investor.
