It reminds me of when my team and I were on a 9th grade football game trip to a school about 2 hours from home. The bus driver had left the lights on accidentally and the battery had run down and died during the game. The bus driver was explaining to one of the coaches why the battery was dead and said that he always drives with the headlights on, even during the day.

The coach (who also happened to be our driver's ed teacher) stared at the driver with a flabbergasted look on his face and simply said, "well stop it. Don't do that anymore."

It made my 9th grade self laugh and your post reminded me of that experience.
