engage in small talk and asked if she had anything exciting happen in her life since I saw her last about 6 weeks ago. She lit up and replied:

"Actually yes, I got a new job and I love it. I'll bet you can never guess what it is."
Me: "Well, give me a hint."
Her: "It's related to art." (for reference, over the past year she's probably gotten about 5-6 visible tattoos and a couple facial piercings)
Me: "You've become a tattoo artist?"
Her: "Nope. I'm a nude model for _____ art school. It's awesome!"

My thought as I looked around hoping the 3 or 4 other patients there between the ages of 10-16 didn't hear her:


Me: "Cool. So let's see how those rubber bands are going."
