This is true. BUT there are real mountains East of CO. The White Mtns are legit!
They are technical and look and feel like you're up at 10,000+ feet, even if you're only between 4 and 6k. The Mt. Katadyn area in Maine also has legit mountains.
That said, I do agree that there are no legit mountains as far as what we western mountain states people would call mountains in West Virginia.
