He talked about how he had "some" interest in finding it, but was mostly interested in the stories of the people who were looking for it. Including those who had put themselves into some precarious spots and ended up injured or killed.
At the time, he talked about meeting the guy who found it, doing an interview with him, seeing and getting photos of the items in the chest, etc. But for some reason, I'm remembering that the guy who found it was still anonymous at the time. He let the reporter/writer see it because he wanted someone to document it really had been found so others would stop looking.
Interesting story, for sure.
