Had Reid, Cleveland or Rose been committed to looking far-&-wide for potential outsiders who were nonetheless good fits for BYU — I think many of the current recruiting stigmas that Pope finds himself fighting — I think they'd be much less significant hangups than they currently are.
One obvious proof to me of that was when Cleveland was "stuck" w an open scholarship late in the recruiting season — & uncharacteristically used it on some kid who was dropped late by an SEC program.
A kid we know as Keena Young.
How I wish we'd had a few more of him in our program over the years.
