Big boosters are just dumping big money into them and paying players.
But the ncaa is looking into collectives. Whether they will or can do anything is debatable. It seems like collectives would violate the pay for image and service allowances because they’re just play for pay vehicles. There’s really no service rendered or rules and it’s a joke. The sec will continue to sign most 5 star recruits although USC is exploiting collectives too. Arizona has a surprisingly high number of recruits interested in their program, probably due to collective payment available.
I’m not sure how byu will compete for most 4-5 recruits. Build bar and others they have don’t compete with big pay for pay collectives.
