Now this is not saying loudest for the duration of the game...
Pundits all week long talked about how Rice would run all over BYU after averaging 400-500 yards rushing every game leading up to the BYU game.
BYU was holding them scoreless with just over 100 total yards in the game. Rice lined up for a late field goal to prevent the shut out. The stadium got super loud (even with it not being a sell out and some had probably left during the blow out). Rice calls a time out to quiet the crowd and it didn't work. In fact it stayed loud and then when they came back out to attempt the field goal it got even louder. The end of the stadium I was on was shaking and it looked like the field was shaking...in fact it looked like players were reacting to what appeared to be a shaking field. Rice missed the field goal and the place exploded even more.
Again while not necessarily a whole duration of a game level of loudness I can say it was possibly the loudest I'd ever experienced. And I was there for the Mangum Miracle II against BSU followed by the Kai pick six...
