Two Cities, Lord of the Rings, and Dracula. Increasingly we read them sped-up without feeling like we miss anything especially since we can back them up and talk about them.
There are some startling good Orson Scott Card books including "Enders Game" (series), "Lost and Found" and "Lost Boys" but don't recommend the Alvin series.
We're on the last book of the Wheel of Time Series but it's not to the level of the books I listed above.
