Other than one floor and the disgusting pool cover, it's not even the house I take issue with.

It's the decor choices. The build of this house would look good in literally any other design choices. Specifically this house seems to be blending a lot of mid-century modern, contemporary, and traditional. The person who picked out the furnishings really wants a more Hollywood glam type look but it looks like they went cheap and it looks like they gave up.
You can put glam anywhere but you really have to go all out and this isn't it. And those who do choose glam should be well aware that glam is a very particular taste and most people wouldn't want it. Faux pink/purple furs, animal prints- even when incorporated well will still be disliked by most people.
