I was up on the concourse between innings, and a young mom was carrying a young girl probably about 3 years old out of the seating area into the concourse. The poor girl was in full tantrum mode, screaming and crying at the top of her lungs, only pausing long enough to gasp in some breath.

Over the course of about a minute, the mom alternated between trying to console the girl by whispering in her ear, or walking in a little circle. Finally, she headed for the stairs that leave the ballpark. The closer they got to the stairs, the louder the screaming from the little girl.

I could clearly hear what the girl was saying. It alternated between these 3 phrases (punctuated by gasps for air every few words)…

I want the B-Yi-You Cougars.
I want to stay and watch the Cougars.
I want to stay for B-Yi-You.

Apparently, the mom told the little girl it was time to leave after 6 innings, and the girl was not happy about it.
