reasons those are 2 cities I wouldn’t want to return to. Cairo it was constant vendors trying to get you to buy trinkets and dirty/chaotic. Beijing it was clean and all even though the air quality can be awful depending on the day. But Beijing is the most foreign feeling place I’ve been to, they do not cater to the west whatsoever. No English anywhere. The locked down internet firewall. The feeling that the government is tracking your every move. The hotel front desk even struggles with English. Etc etc.
I haven’t been to Shanghai but I’m sure Shanghai is a bit more comfortable of a city, from what I’ve heard.
Even though Delhi is a crazy city, I would much rather visit Delhi than Beijing.
