10-2 in 1981 and 1982, 11-1 in 1984, 10-2 in 1990, 12-0 in 1991, 11-1 in 2000, and not so good since then with the exception of 12-2 in
2016, 10-4 in 2018.

A close friend of mine back in the day was closely related to Don James and while my friend and I were in Seattle for different reasons than football, we visited Don James' home back in the 1980's. I think that Don James is considered a legend in the Seattle area and the U of Washington football program in particular.

Coach Don James won the national championship in 1991. Coach Don James won the following awards:
