1. Greatest chance is that neither receives damages because the correlation v causation in defamation cases is pretty tough. But almost none of the lawyers think Amber has any shot at all. They believe Johnny might have a shot, and it's because the people in the courtroom observing the jury think the jury has pretty much hated Amber and everyone she's called to the stand in her defense. Her expert witnesses got absolutely demolished today.
Johnny has a chance at damages, but from my personal opinion the documentary evidence and witness testimony has completely impeached Amber Heard and has turned Johnny into almost a folk hero. They generally think she is psychotic, which I believe as well.
2. I think there is absolutely a chance that he and the studio reconcile and he plays Captain Jack Sparrow again because now there would be intense demand to see him back in the role. I could even see them writing in undertones about Jack Sparrow having to deal with crazy women. The insider jokes about this trial are almost endless and it's been followed pretty closely.
3. I think Amber Heard is as toxic now as she made Johnny after the Washington Post op-ed. She basically is going to come out of this like Glenn Close's character in Fatal Attraction. As if the voice recordings of them in arguments were not enough to make her sound bat crap crazy, her performance as a witness has possibly even been worse. She might get some low budget work as a draw for people wanting to see the crazy woman, but she will never be in studio movies again.
Amber Heard has bad facts, bad witnesses, and horrible attorneys. I wouldn't believe a word that woman said without being able to verify it. Ever
